K-DOCK Radio and Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary kick of the Bus Jam Toy and Food Drive with the North American Railcar Operators Association and TEDDY BEAR TOY EXPRESS this weekend Saturday October 8^th at the Coos Bay Boardwalk! Railroad Motorcars also known as “Speeders” ran the rail lines across the country to make safety checks for many years. The Teddy Bear Toy Express began several years ago and is one of the south coast’s largest toy collection efforts. You can take a new unwrapped toy to the Coos Bay Visitor Center if you’d like to show your support. This event has served Thousands of children in Coos County and Reedsport and has provided food through the county food banks.
