November 18, 2016

9:00 AM to 1:30 PM– The 53rd Annual Coquille Methodist Church Bazaar and Lunch will be held on Friday, November 18th. Ring in the holiday season at 180 North Baxter Street. The doors will open at 9 am for purchasing gifts and baked goods. The lunch begins at 11am for $7.50–it is a benefit for the needs of the community. There will be plenty of salmon this year along with a full turkey dinner. For anyone who would like it delivered (in the Coquille area only) call (541) 396-4645. MAP

November 22nd, 2016

7:00 PM – The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club – Holiday tree showcase and benefit auction. Tree decorating will happen on November 21st. Decorated trees will be on display at The Mill November 22 to November 30. The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club Auctions the trees of on December 1st at 7:00 PM. Auction proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations. FREE ADMISSION. MAP

November 24th, 2016

9:00 AM – The 26th Annual Turkey Trot Fun Run and Walk will be held at Hull Street and Newmark Avenue in Coos Bay, on Thursday, November 24th at Empire Lakes. The entry fee is two or more canned food items. For more information call 541-404-6241. MAP

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM – The Kiwanis will host a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner. The dinner is free and donations are accepted, either cash or non-perishable food items for Florence Food Share. Free transportation by calling River Cities Taxi at 541-997-8520. For more information call 541-999-4883. The Dinner will be held at the Florence Elks Lodge, 1686 12th Street in Florence. MAP

11:00 AM to 2:00 PM – The Barn/Community Center – Holiday Meal volunteers will be serving a Thanksgiving Meal for all who come. The meal is free but donation will gladly be taken. If you are home bound and would like to have a Thanksgiving Meal delivered call (541) 290-6272. 1200 11th Street, Bandon. MAP

11:00 AM to 8:00 PM – The Mill Casino – Thanksgiving Buffet Savor roast turkey and all the trimmings, side dishes and dessert from our own bakery; or enjoy bay front dining with one of the holiday specials in the Plankhouse Restaurant. Thanksgiving buffet will be presented in Saw Blade Buffet for $23 or in the Salmon room for parties of 6 or more. Reservations for large parties are strongly encouraged. MAP

12:00 PM – The Holy Redeemer Church – 31st Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored by the Coos Food Cupboard. Everyone is invited to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.  For transportation, or delivery to the home-bound, call 756-0633, ext. twenty-two. The church address is 2250 Sixteenth Street in North Bend. MAP

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM – The South Coast Gospel Mission – A Thanksgiving dinner. Everybody is welcome; this is open to the public. The South Coast Gospel Mission is at 1999 North 7th Street, Coos Bay. MAP

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM – The Salvation Army and Grace Church – Free Thanksgiving Dinner, anyone in the community needing a meal is invited to join. If unable meal delivery can be arranged. 1155 Flanagan Avenue Coos Bay or call The Salvation Army at (541) 888-5202. MAP

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM – The Lower Umpqua Ministerial Association – Annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Lower Umpqua Senior Center in Reedsport. Meal deliveries can be made just call the Reedsport Church of God at 541-271-3928, with your name, address and phone number. The Lower Umpqua Senior Center, 460 Winchester Avenue, Reedsport. MAP

12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Benetti’s Italian Restaurant – Complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner. Benetti’s is inviting community members to enjoy a thanksgiving meal served with all the fixin’s to thank the community and sponsors who make this happen. 260 South Broadway, Coos Bay. MAP

12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – The Event Center in Gold Beach – The 7th Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner. The Event Center is located at 29392 Ellensburg Ave in Gold Beach. MAP

4:00 PM to 9:30 PM – 30th annual Shore Acres Holiday Lights – Opening night is Thanksgiving. Come in and enjoy the community tradition of hot cider and cookies while walking through the holiday lights from Thanksgiving to New Years. $5.00 parking fee. MAP

November 28th, 2016

6:00 PM to 10:00 PM – Miniature Village & Train Display – More than 200 miniatures representing the small towns of Coos County. If the buildings dark, don’t leave, lights are kept off to see the displays better. The display runs from November 28th to December 24th 6:00 PM -10:00 PM. Due to increased popularity, this event has been moved to the Old Charleston School House located 64065 Seven Devils Road. MAP
